Ski holiday Canazei
If you were under the impression that Italian resorts couldn't march up to your experiences in France, think again!
Take your next vacation to Canazei and say goodbye to that myth forever. Canazei is positioned at the base of approximately 500 km connected slopes, with the possibility of up to 1200 km of ski area, if you are willing to go on a short bus ride. All on one ski pass, which includes all the newly built lift systems in the area.
The local ski area in northern Italy is called the 'Superski Dolomitti' and is characterised by its immaculately slopes for skiers of all levels. Go on an adventure throughout the areas 44 mountain villages or follow Sella Ronda, which is the most popular ski route in the Dolomites. It is a spectacularly scenic nature experience. If you are adventurous, do not miss out on the 2 day ski safari to 'Lagazoui'.
Canazei’s resort life is in the same class as the ski area. The old part of the town is highlighted by old stone houses and a beautiful catholic church. Digest the authentic village impression in one of the many wonderful restaurants, or peruse the shops in search of Italian delicasies. The town is larger than that of the average Italian ski resort, and many of the 2000 Italian local residents live there all year around. This influences the local prices, which are slightly lower than you would find in a typical Italian resort. It also means that there are plenty of other ctivities on offer, aside from skiing. Go to the cinema, take a trip to the swimming pool, go bowling, glide around in the ice skating rink or enjoy the impressive night life. The whole towns heritage reflects its location in the former Tyrol of Austria, while at the same time remaining noticeably Italian. Have a go at everything on offer, or just stick to enjoying the atmosphere. It is there for that purpose, and will not cost you extra. Hide text Read more
